A dual preamplifier pedal developed with guitarist Ariel Posen, the Broadcast AP-II features two independent preamplifier circuits for subtle sonic coloration. One circuit houses a silicon transistor and transformer for a smoother, darker tone, while the other uses a germanium transistor for a brighter, more aggressive tone. Cascading the circuits broadens the range from subtle boost to heavy distortion.
