Epiphone has officially launched the gold-top version of Jared James Nichols’ Old Glory Les Paul Custom, the aptly-named Gold Glory.
The limited-edition guitar is available now, and alongside the new finish features a single Seymour Duncan P-90 Dogear pickup, an ebony fingerboard with traditional block inlays, Grover Rotomatic tuners, and an EpiLite case. The Blues Power phrase is still present, this time on the truss rod cover.

Jared James Nichols teased the release of the guitar a few times over the last few months, and Epiphone posted a demo by the man himself at the virtual Winter NAMM event.
Nichols said of the launch: “Gold Glory is an icon of a guitar,” says Jared James Nichols. “Between the beauty of the tone, and glitter of the gold, it is breathtaking and bold. It’s simplistic, and powerful, a complete classic, yet rooted in today. I am honoured to continue my ‘Glory Days’ with this incredible new signature model.
“I cannot wait to get this guitar out into the world and into the hands of players looking to find their own unique voice. Simply put, Gold Glory inspires me to play, create, and perform at my very best.”
You can see Nichols demo the guitar and talk about its inception below.
The guitar lists for $699, and is available from epiphone.com.
