James Hetfield (1981-) is an American heavy metal singer/guitarist. He is the co-founder, lead vocalist, and rhythm guitarist for Metallica. Key albums: Master of Puppets (1986), Metallica (1991), Death Magnetic (2008). He has won 9 Grammy Awards & 2 American Music Awards.
