First seen at Winter NAMM 2018, the baby Laney amplifiers have finally hit the shelves. The new Mini-Laney series features two models—each with three ‘finishes’—that are ideal for desktop, backstage and practice use.

The Mini is a three-watter while the Mini-ST is a three-watt stereo combo. While both amplifiers have two channels—clean and drive—and pretty much the same controls, the bigger brother benefits from the addition of another three-inch speaker and an in-built digital delay. Both the Mini and Mini-ST can run on six AA batteries, too.

As a bonus feature, the amps have an input for the brand’s LSI (Laney Smartphone Insert) technology. Hook up your smartphone using the packaged cable, fire up a guitar tone-generating app such as Tonebridge, and listen as the miniature amps do their best job in emulating iconic tones.

One of the other highlights of both the Mini and Mini-ST is their classic good looks. Each model is available in three finishes that you’ll find in Laney’s other popular amps: the Ironheart, Lionheart and SuperG.
