Taylor Swift’s Gibson J-180 Special has gone up for auction through Christie’s to benefit the Academy Of Country Music’s (ACM) COVID-19 response fund.

The acoustic guitar is expected to fetch as much as $40,000 at the online auction, which is titled Nashville: An Auction To Benefit ACM Lifting Lives COVID-19 Response Fund. Bidding closes on 29 October.

The pop star played the Gibson acoustic in her performance at this year’s ACM Awards ceremony, where she debuted the single Betty from her latest studio album Folklore.

The guitar – produced at Gibson’s facility in Bozeman, Montana – features ornate star inlays fashioned out of mother-of-pearl, and comes mounted with a pick caddy with five picks that commemorate Swift’s studio releases, Reputation and Lover. The guitar also comes with a hard-shell case and an embroidered Levy guitar strap.

Besides Swift’s guitar, the auction features an array of musical instruments and memorabilia from a constellation of country music stars. Other guitars going under the hammer include Keith Urban’s Hi9 electric guitar and Dwight Yoakam’s Epiphone Casino, as well as the Gibson semi-hollow electric played by actor Bradley Cooper in the 2018 movie A Star Is Born.

Buyers can also bid on an F131 Hellcat Motorcycle owned by Tim McGraw and a Swarovski-crystal adorned dulcimer owned by Dolly Parton.
