60 Seconds S1E21: Beetronics Abelha
This latest nasty fuzz from Beetronics is inspired by the Tropicália art movement in Brazil.
The Beetronics Abelha is a multi-mode fuzz inspired by the psychedelic, fuzzed-out sounds of tropicália. There are three flavours of fuzz: pollen, nectar and honey – pollen being the most drastically different, with a gated dying-battery voice. But none of the sounds pull any punches!
The Abelha also features Beetronics’ unmistakable visual style – here applied to a positively huge vintage-inspired enclosure. The pedal as a whole can be switched into tropical mode with a double-tap of the footswitch – this introduces a high-pass filter for even more aggressive sounds.
